THE JUDGMENT
a poem by John Eric Gulliksen

Feats of strength beneath a hunters' moon generated fantasy in spiritual ejaculation Alienation of being gives rise to question Who am I to judge? Thy ringlets of powdered flax have been chewed by moths of rationalization O Poet Thou art abomination in the Eye of the Lord! Genesis Exodus Leviticus Numbers Deuteronomy death the final census taker answers animation spasmodic jerking a marionette, perhaps who art thou, puppeteer? WHO ART THOU, POET? who art thou God?
