SOMETIMES
a poem by John Eric Gulliksen

a land
south of Eden
fades into my vision
sometimes
and from my tower I can hear
sweet melodies of its crystalline evenings

a river
beyond Styx
washes my ankles
sometimes
as from darkness I contemplate
seeing tomorrow in flames of yesterday

before
behind
west and south

listen...
drop a tablet into the yawning abyss of mind

there is a peace
enfolding in pink
erasing fever
these times

you are there-

all of me
