THE GARDEN
a poem by John Eric Gulliksen

Come to the garden
corner of my mind
Taste a rose (faint acidity)
felicity, sorrow behind

Drift in bubbledream
alive- climb!
Quiet creak
Prayer wheel turns
rushing river's time

Rest by jeweled mountain
deeds undone
Ponder sweet, O Easter child
fly before sun

and

Cover us, raindrop
age, wisdom
Reflecting Friday's clashes
show Sunday's kingdom

Come
within me
to the garden
