a poem by John Eric Gulliksen

Faces flashing formless mist
Catch a glimpse now and then
Weasel jack-o'-lantern panda bear twist
darting writhing cutting slicing
lure me into neverwhen

Cries fall thundering on my brain
Follow me! Take my hand!
Fly now flutter flutter soar again
hammer batter plunder shatter
tiptoe gently pitter patter
under soft and clinging sand

Catch them finally sealed in glass
Beating 'round hide away
Breathe now nice and easy hide in grass
watch them fighting dodging biting
none shall ever cease their kiting
leave behind
move on
don't stay!
